Peep
Hole
This is just one of my many projects for Jessica Pressman's 21st Century Experimental Novel course at San Diego State University. Pictures on this site withint the "Home" page are images of a creative making I did for Mark Danielewski's House of Leaves, published in 2000. I made a paper mache face that looks into a peephole within the book. Page 312 is a mostly white page with one solid dot above the epicenter of the page. This is the last page that the reader sees before they are introduced to the character/image/idea of the minotaur roaming the hallways within the pages. I hope that with this project the reader can look back and realize that this was just another page that they may have skipped over even though it was a direct way, through a peephole, for the characters within the book to look back at the reader and see truly how far along in the novel they are. Enjoy!
